This eliminates the need for time-consuming replacement of the SD memory card and evaluation of the images. The use of the latest chip technology makes full HD recordings and integrated image correction possible with lower power consumption at the same time. The fast 4G reception (LTE) ensures image transmission in seconds.
The shooting angle of 55 degrees is optimal for wide capture of the distortion. The trigger time of the ICU CAM5 is less than half a second, so passing game can also be detected at the Kirrung. By using 52 infrared LEDs (940 nm wavelength), an area of 40 meters is illuminated - invisible to people and animals. Compared to its predecessor, the ICU CAM5 achieves up to 30 percent more range. The switch from day mode (image in color) to night mode (infrared image in black and white) occurs automatically, depending on the lighting conditions.
The device can be operated either with standard AA batteries or rechargeable batteries or with 18650 rechargeable batteries. When using the 18650, the life of the wildlife camera can be extended up to 3 months. The wildlife camera can be mounted inconspicuously in almost any location using the included mounting strap. The housing of the ICU CAM5 is protected from splash water and dust and can therefore withstand all weather conditions. The delivery includes a 16 GB SD memory card, but the slot also supports SDHC memory cards with up to 256 GB.
To put the wildlife camera into operation, you must register on the ICU website in order to link the camera to the customer account. With the included 4,000 coins, up to 4,000 images can be transferred, so on average the coins are enough for around 1 year. Depending on the package you choose, a coin only costs around 1 cent.
