Our Westerwald ProV 42 (V2.0) is a multifunctional thermal imaging device of the latest generation. The collimator lens is firmly attached to the housing, so that unintentional unscrewing is not possible. In combination with the powerful VOx-detector and a modern software, the Westerwald ProV 42 (V2.0) is much more powerful and precise than other devices available in this price range.

With the eyepiece cap included in the scope of delivery, the multifunctional device can be used either as a hand-held unit or, with a suitable clamping adapter, also as an attachment optic. The powerful VOx detector also allows higher magnifications (6 to 8x) of the target optics. Please note that the use for hunting is subject to the hunting regulations of the respective federal states.

The built-in VOx detector has 384 x 288 pixels and 17 µm pixel pitch and achieves detection ranges of up to 1,482 m in conjunction with the 42 mm manually focusable objective lens. With 1,280 x 960 pixels (XGA format), the OLED colour display is large enough to detect details when observing and responding. Thanks to the 50 hertz frame rate, image transmission is absolutely smooth. The Westerwald ProV 42 (V2.0) is equipped with a 2.5x optical zoom and a 2 to 4x digital zoom.

Of course, the multifunctional thermal imaging optics has the standard viewer modes with which the heat sources can be displayed - black, white, red and full colour. The video image can be transferred to suitable end devices using the USB cable supplied. Other features include an integrated compass and a tilt sensor.

The Westerwald ProV 42 (V2.0) is robustly manufactured, waterproof and protected against dust (IP protection class: IP 67). The thermal imaging optics are operated by two commercially available CR123 batteries, allowing battery life of up to 4 hours. The Westerwald ProV 42  (V2.0)comes with a 3-year warranty.
