The Professor Optiken Taunus ProV 15 (ThermTec Cyclops 315P) features a new powerful VOx detector which, in conjunction with the 15 mm manually focusable objective lens, enables a detection range of up to 750 m. The Taunus ProV 15 is a compact and powerful companion and, with its large field of view of 31 m, is suitable for large-area searches and forest hunting grounds.
The latest generation VOx detector has 384 x 288 pixels and a pixel pitch of 12 µm. The OLED color display with 1,024 x 768 pixels is large enough to see details when observing and responding. Image transmission is absolutely smooth thanks to the 50 Hertz frame rate. The Taunus ProV 15 (Cyclops 315P) is equipped with 1.47x optical magnification and a digital, continuously variable 6x zoom, with the lens focus being manually adjustable. The built-in AI rangefinder, based on a special learning algorithm, can automatically identify up to 6 animals and humans and display the estimated distance right on the fly. Additionally, you can be notified via the app when an object enters the camera's field of view. You will receive a message on your end device with the estimated distance and whether it is a human or an animal. You can also set whether you want this notification to come with an audible signal, vibration or silent.
Of course, the thermal imager has the standard viewing modes with which to display heat sources - black, white, red, green, purple and gold. Modes that you do not need can be disabled in the menu. The video image can be transferred and recorded to Android or IOS devices using the 2-way WLAN function (existing cellular connection of the end device is maintained) or to suitable end devices using the included USB cable. Furthermore, the Taunus ProV 15 (Cyclops 315P) has an integrated memory (16 GB) for photo and video recordings.
The Taunus ProV 15 (Cyclops 315P) is robustly manufactured, waterproof and protected against dust (IP protection class: IP 67). The thermal imaging optics have a ¼ inch tripod mount. Also due to the new detector, the integrated lithium-ion battery has a runtime of up to 12 hours and can be conveniently charged with the included USB cable. In addition, the device can be intuitively controlled via a one-button operation.
